How to Enter:

The Contest consists of three (3) phases; a nomination phase, Finalist Selection phase and Public Voting phase to determine the Winners. During the Entry Period, you may enter the Contest by visiting www.bridgestonetire.com/fuelthecause (the "Contest Site") and following the directions to register and submit an essay of up to 500 words which identifies a space, object, initiative or nonprofit organization in your community (?Public Entity?) that you feel has unrecognized or untapped potential or is underfunded or underappreciated describes how a financial grant from Bridgestone would help the space, object, initiative or nonprofit organization undergo a positive transformation and foster positive change (?change the game?) for the community in which it is located ("Essay"). The submitted Essay should include content that describes in detail why the Public Entity has unrecognized or untapped potential or is underfunded or underappreciated, a description of the activities that could be conducted at/by the Public Entity if it were transformed, and compelling reasons why the Public Entity deserves to win and would ?change the game? in the community if it were to win. The Essay should also include content such as the approximate number of people in the community that could perhaps benefit (to the best of your knowledge and belief) and whether the Public Entity has any special meaning to you.

Then, you must upload three (3) unique photos of or related to the nominated Public Entity (the Essay and photos collectively, the ?Entry?). The Entry must: 1) be complete to be eligible; 2) include an Essay (up to 500 words) and three (3) photos that comply with the requirements set forth in these Official Rules; 3) be your own original work (DO NOT COPY THE WORKS OF OTHERS IN WRITING THE ESSAY OR TAKING THE PHOTOS, IN WHOLE OR IN PART). Photos/Essays must be in compliance with the Content Guidelines below and as set forth on the Contest Site (The Guidelines on the Contest Site are incorporated herein by reference and made a part of these Official Rules.) The photos must be in color, .jpeg format and no larger than 20 MB each in file size . All components of an entity must be submitted together at one time in the same online session.

Posted Entries represent solely the opinions of Entrant, not those of Sponsor. Sponsor further disclaims any liability in conjunction with screening, reviewing or monitoring posted Entries.

Entrant grants to Sponsor a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive right and license to copy, distribute, and display each submitted Entry and any associated content (as applicable), in any media, and with right to use, copy, modify, edit, and create derivative works there from, and agrees to execute documents confirming such right and license at Sponsor?s request and without compensation of any kind. Entrants shall have no right to review or approve edits, alterations, or modifications. By entering, you understand that your Entry and associated content (if applicable) (or portion thereof) may be posted online, in Sponsor?s sole discretion, to be viewed and voted on by members of the general public. Entrants may not copy or otherwise plagiarize any portion of the Entry from any source. Entrants agree that they will not use any part of the Entry, including the photos, during the Entry Period for any other public or commercial purpose, including, without limitation, posting any part of the Entry to any other online social networks, without the express consent of Sponsor in each instance (and, such consent may be granted or withheld by Sponsor in its sole discretion). Sponsor has the sole discretion to determine whether an Entry complies with these Official Rules. The same Public Entity may be submitted by multiple Entrants. However, each Entry for the same Public Entity must be unique and a Public Entity may only be a Finalist once; see Rule 4a for details. There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address for the entire Entry Period. Multiple Entries from any one (1) individual/email address will result in only the initial Entry being accepted and all additional Entries from such individual/email address will automatically be disqualified. However, should Sponsor or Administrator determine that a given Entrant has engaged in blatant, repeated, or egregious violations of the aforementioned Entry limit, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify such Entrant and perhaps Public Entity/Entries nominated by such Entrant from this Contest and to otherwise take any actions deemed necessary and appropriate in its sole discretion so as to preserve its legal rights. All Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on March 15, 2015 to be eligible.

Please Note: If determined to be a Top 12 Finalist (as described below), each Entrant associated with the Entry deemed a Finalist may be required to obtain written confirmation (in substantially the form as required by Sponsor) from a local official with the appropriate authority, that the Public Entity will allow participation in this Contest and will allow receipt of a prize (as described more completely below in Rule 5). Such written consent must be received by Sponsor/Administrator within (5) days of notification attempt, along with Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form and a Publicity Release for Finalists (or a Declaration of Compliance for Canadian Finalists). Sponsor recommends that Entrant investigate and determine who is the applicable local official for the Public Entity addressed in his/her Entry and, ideally, obtain preliminary consent from such local official prior to submission of Entry in the event that his/her Entry is selected as a potential Finalist. Sponsor may assist potential Finalist in satisfying this requirement; the decision as to whether to assist and the nature of such assistance being made by Sponsor in its sole discretion and without liability of any kind. Notwithstanding such assistance by Sponsor (if any), it is the potential Finalist?s sole responsibility, as a condition of continued eligibility to secure such consent and submit same to Sponsor/Administrator by the indicated deadline.

Initial Judging Round, Public Voting and Winner Determination:

a.) Initial Judging Round To Determine the Twelve (12) Finalists: All eligible Entries will be judged under the supervision of Administrator., an independent judging organization, based on the following criteria: Most deserving of winning based on how the Public Entity would benefit as stated in Essay and photos (50%); Most compelling reasons described in Essay and photos as to why the identified Public Entity would foster a positive transformation and ?change the game? for their community if it were to win (30%); Suitability of nominated Public Entity for transformation as depicted in photos and Essay (20%), to determine the top twelve (12) Finalists. In applying such judging criteria, the Judges will also take into account the feasibility and practicality of implementing the proposed transformation of the Public Entity. In the event of a tie, tied Entries will be re-judged based solely on "Most deserving of winning based on how the Public Entity would benefit as stated in Essay and photos" (100%). A Public Entity can only appear one time as a Finalist. If more than one Entrant submits an Entry identifying the same Public Entity as in need of transformation, only one Entry may be a Finalist. Note that Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than twelve (12) Entries as potential Finalists if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries. Decisions of Judges/Sponsor are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to this Contest.

b.) Public Voting: The top twelve (12) Entries and any associated content, as applicable (in Sponsor?s sole discretion) from the initial round of judging for which all Required Forms (described below) are timely returned will be deemed Finalists ( "Finalists"). Sponsor reserves the right to have fewer than twelve (12) Finalists if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries and/or fewer than twelve (12) potential Finalists timely return all Required Forms. The Finalists? Entries and any associated content (as applicable) will be posted on the Contest Site for public voting from 12:00 a.m. ET on April 1, 2015 through 11:59 p.m. ET on April 30, 2015( the "Voting Period") where eligible individuals who visit the Contest Site can follow the online voting instructions to vote for their favorite Public Entity (however, Sponsor reserves the right to modify or delay the public Voting Period by posting a notice to such effect on the Contest Site). Sponsor/Administrator will post Finalist Entries and any associated content (as applicable) and Content on the Contest Site in a pattern, format, sequence or arrangement of Sponsor?s/Administrator?s sole choosing, which may be varied one or more times by Sponsor/Administrator; Finalist Entries will be attributed to Finalists in the same manner (i.e. to be determined by Sponsor/Administrator in their sole discretion). Posted Finalist Entries represent solely the opinions of Finalist, not those of Sponsor or Administrator. Sponsor and Administrator further disclaim any liability in conjunction with screening, reviewing or monitoring posted Finalist Entries. Voting will be restricted to legal residents of the 50 U.S., D.C. and Canada, who are: (1) 18 years of age or older or (2) the age of majority in their primary jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older as of date of voting. Employees of the Sponsor and eligible employees of authorized retailers of Bridgestone tires are eligible to participate in Public Voting.

Any attempt by a Finalist or other individual to manipulate or undermine the integrity of the voting as determined by Sponsor/Administrator in its sole discretion will result in disqualification, with the understanding that disqualification shall not represent the sole remedy available to Sponsor. Votes received from any person or email address in excess of the stated limitation will be void. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The use of script, macro, or any other robotic or automatic devices for voting and any other means that subvert the voting process is prohibited, and Sponsor reserves the right to nullify all such votes and to disqualify the responsible individual from voting.

c.) Winner Determination: At the conclusion of the Voting Period, the Finalist with the highest number of votes will be deemed the potential Grand Prize Winner. The Finalists with the second and third highest number of votes will be deemed the potential First and Second Prize Winners. The Finalists with the fourth, fifth and sixth highest number of votes will be deemed the potential First Place Runners-Up. The Finalists with the seventh, eighth and ninth highest number of votes will be deemed the potential Second Place Runners-Up. The Finalists with the tenth, eleventh and twelfth highest number of votes will be deemed the potential Third Place Runners-Up. Winners will be determined based 100% on the outcome of the public voting. In the event of a tie, tied Finalists will be re-judged by Sponsor, based solely on most deserving of winning based on how the Public Entity would benefit as stated in Essay and photos (100%) to determine the Winner placement. The determination of the Winners will take place at Administrator?s offices in Melville, NY USA or at another location of Sponsor?s sole choosing. Decisions of Judges/Sponsor are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest.

All Required Forms must be returned fully-executed within five (5) days of date of issuance. Failure to return all Required Forms within five (5) days of date of issuance, the return of any notification as undeliverable or noncompliance with these Official Rules may result in the potential Finalist being disqualified and, at Sponsor?s discretion and an alternate may be determined and notified, time permitting. Finalists may, in Sponsor?s sole discretion, be required to submit additional content regarding the Public Entity and/or its need for transformation, such as additional photos of Public Entity, photo captions, and/or clarifying additional written materials ( "associated content") prior to public voting. Content of this nature must be composed/created by the Finalist and adhere to all Content Guidelines included above.
