It's Time for a Change: DriveGuard

It’s Time for a Change: DriveGuard

At Bridgestone, we’ve always been in the fast lane when it comes to innovation. We produced our very first tire in the early 1900’s and have been on the forefront of tire technology ever since. Today, we’re still leading the pack, with the introduction of DriveGuard, the first full line of run-flat tires—tires that keep you moving, even after a puncture.

DriveGuard run-flat tires

Cool Under Pressure

DriveGuard run-flat tires are available for crossovers, minivans, sedans, coupes and wagons. What’s really special about these tires is that they’re specifically engineered to take a punch (or more accurately, a puncture) and keep you cruising along for up to 50 miles at maximum speeds up to 50 miles per hour. How? A super-strong, reinforced sidewall and proprietary Cooling Fin Technology are part of what make these tires special. The reinforced sidewalls help DriveGuard hold its shape and support the weight of the vehicle, while the Cooling Fin helps resist friction and redistribute heat, even with low or no pressure.

DriveGuard tires are designed for vehicles equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). So when your TPMS indicator lights up, you should stop and check your tires If tire service is needed, DriveGuard gives you time to get to a convenient, safe location.*

Because There’s Never a Good Time for a Flat

At its best, a flat is a disruption. DriveGuard tires keep you moving - in comfort. These innovative run-flats are all-season tires that offer great everyday performance for confident handling and a quiet, comfortable ride.

Each DriveGuard tire also comes with the DriveGuard Protection Package, designed to keep you covered. This includes our 30 Day Buy & Try Guarantee, a Platinum Pact Warranty, and our Supplemental Road Hazard Limited Warranty.
